In my 200-hour teacher training interview, I consistently hear the same question:
‘Am I good enough to do this?’
The short answer is yes!
The misconception is that yoga teaching requires exceptional personal practice. While a deep personal practice is beneficial, it is not a prerequisite. What truly defines a great yoga teacher is the ability to connect with students, inspire growth, and create a safe, inclusive space.
My teacher training program focuses on equipping you with the tools and knowledge to cultivate these essential qualities.
Let me outline what you can expect from the program to help clarify any questions you may have.
Yoga philosophy
is at the heart of our program. We delve into the rich tapestry of yoga's teachings through a Satsang-inspired approach. These informal group discussions foster a space for inquiry, shared experiences, and a deeper understanding of the philosophy. Yoga philosophy is organic and non-dogmatic, offering a framework for your teaching and a foundation for your continued growth as a practitioner and teacher.
Meditation, mindfulness, and breath-work
are also integral components of our training. These practices cultivate inner awareness and presence, essential qualities for any yoga teacher. By deepening your connection to yourself through these practices, you'll develop the insight to guide students towards finding their own inner balance
Anatomy
Our anatomy curriculum focuses on embodied understanding rather than rote memorisation. By exploring how the body moves and interacts, you'll develop a practical knowledge base that empowers you to offer ideas and effective modifications and adjustments. This approach ensures that you can support students of all levels in their practice.
Labs & Practicums
Our program emphasises on hands-on learning. Half the day is covered by “labs”. During this time, we practice sequencing classes, learn the many details of yoga poses & practice teaching. Through consistent practice and observation, you’ll develop the ability to design your own classes and teach from a place of embodied understanding rather than simply regurgitating information. We believe that the best teachers are those who draw from their own experiences and insights.
Practice
YES! We do this too!
Practice is paramount in our training. We emphasize embodied learning over performance-oriented practice. A consistent personal practice is essential for any yoga teacher. Through dedicated self-inquiry, we cultivate the discipline, commitment, and insights necessary for effective teaching. The dialogue that happens during personal and group practice is a rich source of growth and development.
Personal Growth and Transformation
Beyond teacher training, many of our graduates have described the program as a deep personal development journey. By immersing yourself in training you will be challenged to confront your vulnerabilities and strengths, fostering significant inner transformation. This holistic experience cultivates self-discovery and resilience, empowering you regardless of your career path.
Commitment and Growth
This 200-hour teacher training program is designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to become a well-rounded yoga teacher, while also providing a personal growth experience. While there are no formal exams, your commitment to the program is essential for your success so this is the only real question you will need to answer...
Am i ready to invest 5 months of my time and energy into doing this?
Your yes answer will be met by a big YES from the entire teaching and support team
We believe in your potential and are committed to supporting your success!
